Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund Scholar
I will be leaving for Japan in October as a Japan Fulbright Memorial
Scholar. My journey will begin with a brief stay in San Francisco and
then on to Tokyo where I and other educators from the United States
will meet with Japanese educators for a variety of lectures and
symposiums. After a week in Tokyo, we will travel individually
throughout Japan according to an itinerary designed around our
specific interests. I am still waiting on the details but, I do know that for
one week I will be living with a Japanese family. I have already written a
grant to fund my "follow-on" project when I return to the US. This
project is called Oak Cliff Meets Japan.
